A day after IM Wisconsin

What a great day after IRONMAN WISCONSIN. It was great to witness many of the athletes cross the finish line.  it was a little hard emotionally not being able to race... but it is okay. I just have to take it a day at a time.

Michael Melton and Brad Boozer finished strong. It was a hilly course... hard though... but I commend them for their hard work.

Michael went to Denny's to eat a hearty breakfast!!!!

Now time to get back to work: I have to study, work on some workouts and study some much more.... oh... i forgot, i have to workout.

See all later!!!!

Madison WI - huge difference.

For the first time in a couple of months I wake up with the sunlight hitting my face. I am in Madison, WI!  I have two athletes racing this weekend; therefore, I am here to get them ready.   On the other hand, being in Wisconsin is very different.  I have only seen a few more hispanics in the area and people are surprised to see a Hispanic person workout. That is the funny part!

Michael M was supposed to arrive last night, but his plane was delayed in Orlando and missed his connecting flight in Chicago.  In which, he had to spend a night in Chicago and I am picking up this morning.  That is another reason of why I had to wake up.

I have been doing Yoga everyday to emphasize that I have listen to my body much more closesly and not push it. I am very happy I am doing so. (smile)

That is the latest. Going to pick up Michael and then going to the race site for an open water swim. It is freezing over here... it is 49 degrees!!!! ARGH!!!!!

Labor Day Weekend - Sunday Morning

What a wonderful day!!!! Woke up at 4;30 am and getting ready for my run at 5:30 am. I have a two hour run and going to run with my friend Donnie and the Tri Club. Donnie is a great runner and pacer. He has done Boston several times and he has a lot of potential to go Pro as a Triathlete if he follows a training plan and doesn't allow life to get in the way.  However, I am really happy to run with him... I laugh a lot.

Yesterday went to Target to look for a few things and I went by the candle aisle.... didn't smell a thing! I used to collect candles... I can't do that anymore. However, I opened a vanilla candle and took a deep inhale... nothing. Just imagine everything smelling the same.... nothing!!!!! I left a little frustrated... I love the vanilla candle or apple cinnamon NOTHING!!

However, I ran to Speech Pathologist and she gave me hope. She told me that the brain is healing and it might come back!
