Planning my wedding

Well today was an interesting day. After proposing to the love of my life, comes the responsibility on planning a wedding.  I have been very blessed on having the support of my brothers, cousin, uncles and aunts. It is sad to say that my sister, mom and dad won't be coming. It saddens me, but I will be with the love of my life. They will never understand, but I respect where they stand. I only ask them to respect my life.

So, went to my first gay wedding expo. Was very small, but was an eye opener on what to expect. Made my first site visit tomorrow.

www.paradisecover.com is my first stop.

Tuesday morning bike trainer session

This morning was an amazing workout. We had a warm up a 15 minutes in which consisted of four minutes at zone two and then one minute gradual build to 100% at the cadence of 95.

The main set consisted of 3 x 3 minutes at the first minute you start at 95%, the second minute at 105%, the last minute at 110 - 120%. You had a three minute recovery between sets. However, after the 3 x 3 you had six minutes nice and easy.
You had two rounds and after you did both rounds we had 30 seconds breakaways followed by a the recovery you had a total of eight in which the evens work out of the saddle and odds were out of the saddle. Followed by a five minute cooldown.

June 15, 2015

Today was a very productive day. Well I did my best out of it because my flight did not get in till 230 in the morning. I tried to wake up to go to the swim session this morning but there was no way shape or form that I was able to get out of bed with just two hours of sleep.  so, I called my assistant coach James, godsend, and he led the work out.
So I woke up the first time in a while today like, it was 7:45 AM. As a triathlete coach and athlete it's very hard to wake up that late. My normal time with 4 AM.

Many people think I'm a little bit crazy waking up that early every single day but you have to especially have to lead your team at 5 AM. However you didn't get a lot of things done.

So after waking up I had my breakfast. Call me the crazy but I make this concoction of Greek yogurt protein powder, peanut butter, and fruit. It is delicious and your topped with vanilla granola. Looks pretty. LOL

So, I've been single for the past two years. I've had several dates with people going out couple months getting to know people. But I've had my misfortune of meeting man that suffer from erectile dysfunction or they can't get it up. Extremely frustrating!

However, when you're a triathlete, coach and gay it is extremely hard to meet people. So you try to work through these things but this certainly is you just can't work through. So nowadays they have certain apps you could use to meet men. You have tinder, scruff, grinder, match.com, plenty of fish, Cupid and the list will go on and on.

So you could actually spend hours just going through profiles and seeing what is the best match for you. I got to tell you you become a bit superficial because especially on tinder you're swiping to the left trying to figure out yes, no, maybe, and then you just go through their pictures and judge . Isn't that awful.

So, I was pinned down on a profile from someone in Amsterdam. Yes the app with Scruff. I didn't think that I was going to  work with someone that is all the way in the other  side of the world. However we started chatting, and the text will go back-and-forth for days. We will share certain pictures and he's a very handsome individual. Very nice guy. But I didn't think anything of it. Because keep in mind I am in Orlando and he is in Amsterdam. On a sidenote I've had long distance relationship in the past and they have homework. So I just kept on chatting with this individual and then I started liking the individual. However, I made it's clear to the individual that I was talking to other people and he knew that. But on many subliminal messages he knew for a fact that I was going to end up with him.

The first time we Skype it, I was nervous as hell not knowing what to expect when I saw his smile, his blue eyes, his gallant brownish hair I did not know what to say. Then I go in my nervous mode and start asking a bunch of questions... He told me he felt like an interrogation. We laughed, we had many breakfast together, lunches, and dinners via Skype keeping in mind that there is a significantly time difference so when I was having breakfast he was enjoying his lunch.

So, I was invited to participate at the euro games in Stockholm. Very excited I did share this news with him and he brought it up and said that it will be nice for us to meet and for him to be there for me in my race. I did share with him that it gets a bit lonely when you are a coach and athlete but you're always cheering people on because you are coach however, it's very lonely road if you're single.

So we made plans he got he booked a hotel room I booked my flight and he booked his. It is going to be five weeks till I meet him. I'm extremely excited I don't know what to do. I have feelings that I cannot explain because I have never met this person we've only chatted via text and Skype but heck life is too short and you have to take chances. I'm all up for it let's see how it goes. I do apologize for all the typos. I'm using Siri as my dictation and I'm walking Murphy. A.k.a. the best puppy in the world.

The weekend in Williamsburg - Part 1

Well this weekend was a good weekend and gave me lots of perspective. On Friday night, I took a flight to Richmond, VA and then drive to Williamsburg. I was going to meet my colleague, Will #$@$ ( I won't give his last name) to go and set up the NormaTec booth at Challenge Williamsburg. I don't know why I was calling it Wellington... different state. LOL
However, when i landed in Richmond, Will calls me and let me know that they cancelled his flight and rerouted him a different path. Keep in mind he lives in WI, so everything changed when he got to Chicago. He was supposed to arrive before me and didn't So that pushed us back significantly. We were supposed to go to bed by 12 AM Saturday. However, with his flight delayed, he didn't arrive till 2:30 am. As a good colleague, i slept in the car and waited for him. We got home at 3:30 AM and had to wake up early and go to the expo.

We get to the expo and set up... OMG it was so hot! We had to buy fans to keep us cool. The fans  did their best to push the steamy heat.  Ran into a great friend of mine that lives in Jacksonville.. Miss Susan Haag... she has done a total of 83 IM... CRAZY lady... admirable... but oh dear.

Well after taking a nice picture we started the journey for the next day... i'll explain you the picture of the hand on the next blog.

Take my hand!
